MEET PAV
World-record endurance cyclist, experienced coach and author, helping ambitious cyclists train with greater structure, confidence and purpose.
I have spent almost 15 years helping cyclists prepare for ambitious goals, from first centuries and Gran Fondos to multi-day races, ultra-endurance events and record attempts.
My experience as a world record breaking athlete gives me a practical understanding of the physical, mental and logistical demands involved in pursuing a major cycling goal.
In 2019, I became a published author with The Guide to Truly Effective Cycling, an accessible, in-depth guide to training, nutrition, mindset and race tactics. The book was well received across the cycling industry and became an Amazon #1 New Release in the cycling category.

BEYOND THE TRAINING PLAN
Endurance cycling matters to me because it reveals what people are capable of. It demands patience, resilience and the willingness to keep moving forward when progress feels slow or the goal seems overwhelming. Some of the most valuable lessons I have learned through cycling have had very little to do with speed and everything to do with confidence, perspective and self-belief.
Mental wellbeing is an important part of how I coach. Training should add purpose and enjoyment to someone’s life, not become another source of pressure. I want athletes to improve their performance while also developing a healthier, more sustainable relationship with cycling.
I especially enjoy coaching amateur athletes because their goals are deeply personal. A first century, a Gran Fondo finish or an ambitious ultra event can mean just as much to someone as a podium or world record. Helping an athlete turn a goal that once felt out of reach into something achievable is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching.
What motivates me most is being trusted to share that journey. I enjoy helping athletes navigate the setbacks, uncertainty and difficult days, then seeing the confidence they gain when their consistent work begins to pay off.

Pav is a terrific coach–pushes me when I need it, pulls me back when needed–even when I complain he is terrific! He helps me with my nutrition and how to mentally deal with the training that it takes to train for this event. I’m really looking forward to the event!
